BACO in Aylesbury Young Offenders Institution

 

AYOI is a long term young offender institution with an Operational Capacity of 443

Aylesbury holds the longest sentenced young adult males, aged between 18 years and 21years 10 months, in the English prison system.

It has eight Wings, A to H, and a Segregation Unit.

BACO Support Service

 

BACO Wing Representatives hold the application forms to attend BACO Support Service meetings. Completed applications go to either the Resettlement Department or a post box in the Library and then to the Gate from where they are collected by the BACO Support Service Co-ordinator.

 

Support Service meetings are on the 3rd or 4th Wednesday and Thursday in the month on the Wings between 18:00 & 19:30

 

 

Grants.

 

Contributory grants are made towards the costs of:

 

· Educational courses

· Educational qualifications

· Trade training courses

· Course books and materials

· ID - birth certificates, locating birth parents

· Art materials

· Musical instruments
